Big Head Rob was floored today to learn that while his nose was hunkered down (sorry Lake State) in some busy, busy work, Miss Ana Marie Cox (aka Wonkette) has left her blog–to a man.

WaPo’s gossip columnists, Amy Argetsinger and Roxanne Roberts, report today that Ana will “become a full-time, pajama-clad author. Cox, who just signed a contract for her second book, will hand off the political Web site to David Lat, the lawyer who secretly penned Underneath Their Robes, an irreverent blog about the judiciary world.”

Answering my recent tough question about her book, “Dog Days,” the columnists note that it “comes out tomorrow, with the predictable buzz and, yes, bad reviews.”

We miss Wonkette already, but did you ever notice that it never really seemed to be Wonkette posting? Yesterday, for example, most posts were by DCEIVER–how deceitful. Maybe “editor emeritus” will be a title that suits Ana just fine.

Now, we move on to new questions. Who does her hair? When will she host a live WP discussion? And who put that picture of her in the urinal? That’s just bad taste.
